Margaretha Spezzano – Law Student

Margaretha (Maggie) is a Law Student at Olschewski Davie. In 2018, Maggie graduated from the University Of North Dakota School of Law, with honors obtaining her Juris Doctor degree. While in law school, Maggie was selected to participate in the regional trial team competition and received an endowment for demonstrating professionalism, skill, knowledge, and proficiency in trial advocacy. She also served as an associate editor for the North Dakota Law Review.

After graduating, Maggie passed the United States Bar Examination becoming a lawyer in North Dakota and Minnesota. She practiced in the areas of civil litigation, professional malpractice defence, personal injury, family law, wills and estates, and corporate law. In 2019, she volunteered her time coaching first year law students for a National Mock Trial Competition in Washington, D.C. Additionally, Maggie served as the Vice President of the Grand Forks County Bar Association during her final year in the United States.

Maggie returned to Winnipeg in 2020 and is currently studying to obtain her Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation. She hopes to continue practising in the near future.
